John is a Senior Director of RAFT and has overall responsibility for our Life After Breast Cancer Fund that aims to raise £2 million pounds ($3 million dollars) so we can deliver our research to patients within the next few years. John will be working from London and New York to ensure we maximise donations from both sides of the pond.
When John is not working hard managing the Life After Breast Cancer fund, he is keeping active on the tennis court.

Lilian has been with RAFT since 2014 – she is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of RAFT’s research projects. Her previous work has focused primarily on the application of stem cells in drug discovery and regenerative medicine.
When Lilian is not working hard on the latest medical research project, she is cycling in the Surrey hills, playing tennis or swimming.

Anita has been with RAFT since 2013 and her primary research focus is in DIEP breast reconstruction following mastectomy to increase predictability of tissue transfer, reliable flap design and flap harvest that is being carried out at the Mayo Clinic
When Anita is not working hard on improving breast reconstruction for women, she enjoys playing tennis, running, travel, hiking and scuba diving.

Meet Anna Wilson, our Plastic Surgery Research Fellow and a key member of the RAFT family.
Anna has been with RAFT for 3 years and is working on improving the use of fat transfer as a reconstruction method.

Meet Vaibhav Sharma, our PhD student and an integral member of the RAFT family.
Vaibhav has been with RAFT for 5 years and is responsible for the optimisation of Smart Matrix® scaffold. Vaibhav is working on making Smart Matrix® suitable for difficult wounds that are hard to heal such as leg ulcers.
When Vaibhav is not working hard at improving the lives of those with chronic wounds, he is either playing sports or travelling the world.

Elena is a key member of the RAFT family and has been with RAFT for over 3 years.
She is responsible for leading the investigation of new biomaterial-based therapies for regeneration of skin and bone after severe trauma as well as managing the science team to ensure the delivery of RAFT’s research strategy.
When Elena is not working hard on the latest biomaterial research project with the team, she is playing the violin with her North-London based band or avidly reading a book in a Camden coffee house.
