Clover Lewis launched Clover Lewis Swimwear as her recovery project and as a way to turn a difficult and life-changing experience into a new and positive life experience which would encourage many other women to love their post-surgery bodies too.
Clover was in a unique position to lead a change for fashion forward mastectomy swimwear with a background in Fine Arts and costume making. Before setting up the award-winning brand Clover Lewis Swimwear, Clover studied Fine Art at St Martin’s College of Art & Design. She went on to study Lingerie Design & Manufacture and Swimwear at London College of Fashion.
Clover Lewis Swimwear’s has been nominated for New Designer of the Year 2016, as well as being name the 2015 Post Surgery Brand of the Year by the esteemed UK Lingerie Awards (the ‘Oscars’ of the swimwear and lingerie world). Really making a splash in the fashion industry.
Through her real life trauma and personal research, Clover has come to learn a great deal about the benefits of fashion as a recovery tool for women who bear physical and emotional scars. Her collection ensures that each beautifully crafted garment gives women the confidence they need to feel as good as they look.
Clover doesn’t limit her work with breast cancer to her swimwear line, she is involved with a number of great projects, causes and charities too. As an ambassador for the Life After Breast Cancer Fund (LABC), Clover speaks out to raise money to finance world-leading research into breast reconstruction surgeries. Clover wants to help generate ever-better outcomes for women who choose these procedures.
